He is REAL! We can trust Him. Through all the ch He is REAL! We can trust Him.

Through all the change and uncertainty in my life this year, I have learned that again ❤️

Thank you @gerald_causse for encouraging us to share our testimonies of Jesus!
I cannot stop thinking about these words by @clark I cannot stop thinking about these words by @clarkg.gilbert:

“For disciples of Jesus Christ, truth and love always walk together. I believe teaching truth with love will be the hallmark of Christ’s disciples in the last days.“

But how do we do that on social media?

Jesus is the answer!

Here’s how it’s done: The RDA of fiber is somewhe Here’s how it’s done:

The RDA of fiber is somewhere between 25 -38 grams per day, depending on age and sex. (Men are at the higher end, women at the lower. 95% of Americans don’t reach that goal.)

If you aim for 10 g. per meal, you will be golden!

1. Fiber comes only from plants, so add a few more to every meal.

2. Fruits and vegetables, on their own, are not enough. Get the most bang for your buck with beans, lentils, and whole grains (they are NOT the enemy!)

3. You can add beans and/or lentils to just about any savory dish: soup, stew, pasta, salad, stir-fry, Buddha bowls, sloppy joes…you get the idea. Substitute some of the meat with beans or lentils, or add them in addition to the normal amount of meat. Lentils boast 15-16 g of fiber per cup. Beans have between 13-15 g of fiber per cup.

4. Chia seeds are a fiber powerhouse, with 10 grams per serving (2 TBSP). Basil seeds are even higher, with 15 grams per serving (2 TBSP). Both have a neutral flavor profile and are great in smoothies, oatmeal, yogurt, and puddings.

5. High-fiber fruits include raspberries (8 g. per cup), pears (5.5 g. per medium pear with skin), apples (4.4 g. per medium apple with skin), and avocado (5 g. per half cup)

6. High-fiber veggies include green peas (9 g. per cup), broccoli (5 g. per cup), brussels sprouts (4.5 g. per cup), baked potato with skin (4 g. per medium potato)

You can totally do this by being mindful about adding more plants. It’s not hard for me to get over 40 g when I’m conscious of the plants I’m eating. But, when I’m in a groove of eating lots of dairy and/or animal products, it is MUCH harder.

You can use an app like Cronometer to help you calculate your fiber intake (and all the other nutrients, too) until you have a better idea of what 25-35 g of fiber looks like.

You can do this!!!
Will you stay in the boat with Him? This scene is Will you stay in the boat with Him?

This scene is so tender and relatable for me

Because, like the disciples who feared their boat would sink with Jesus asleep in the back,

We may not understand the scope of His power

But we will always be safe in the boat with Him

How have you experienced that in your life?
