Strawberry Peach Salsa

This sweet and somewhat spicy salsa will provide a fiesta for your taste buds. It is delicious with tortilla chips, on tacos and burritos, and as a garnish on grilled chicken and pork.

Ingredients

  1. 2 medium peaches, skinned and diced
  2. 2 tablespoons pineapple juice
  3. 1 pound strawberries, diced
  4. 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped 
  5. 1 jalapeno, seeded and diced
  6. 2 green onions, white and green parts, chopped
  7. 1-2 garlic cloves, pressed
  8. 1/2 teaspoon salt

Notes

  • The seeds in the jalapeno will add more heat. Use them if you would like a little more of a kick. If you would like a mild salsa, you can substitute sweet peppers instead, or leave the peppers out altogether.
  • Any acidic juice can be used in place of pineapple juice (orange, lemon, lime). Or use a few vitamin C crystals mixed with water.
